About Project World and Mission 9:22

As an avenue to facilitate short term mission teams from the United States to Honduras, Project World, a ministry based in Bremen, Georgia, and Mission 9:22, a ministry based in Honduras, were formed by Marty and Christa Smith.

Under the financial support of Project World, Mission 9:22, executes the day to day operations of the ministry’s property located in El Tizate, Orica, Honduras. From this ministry base, short term mission teams are invited to join the work to better the lives of those in El Tizate and surrounding communities, as well as the indigenous areas in Montana de La Flor.

Through feeding programs, medical clinics, vacation bible schools, food distribution, house builds and community outreach opportunities, Project World-Mission 9:22 work together to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the people they serve.

Our Team
Marty and Christa
Marty and Christa
Marty and Christa have been greatly impacted through their mission work in Honduras. After Marty’s first mission trip to Honduras in 2007, where he served alongside missionaries Soyla and Tim, he felt a deep connection to the people there. His experience compelled him to return to the United States and share his story, which ultimately led him to return to Honduras with his family. Since that time, Marty and Christa, have dedicated themselves to serving in Honduras in various capacities. After serving alongside other ministries, Project World was birthed in 2014 as an avenue to facilitate short term mission teams. Continuing today with an open invitation to join the work, Project World aims to give others the opportunity to experience the impact of short-term missions. Marty and Christa continue to spend a significant amount of time in Honduras, contributing to the community and helping others get involved.
